UEBA uses machine learning algorithms to identify patterns of behavior that are normal for a given user or entity and then identifies deviations from that behavior that may indicate a security threat.

UEBA is becoming increasingly popular as a cybersecurity tool due to its ability to identify threats that traditional security systems may miss. By looking at behavior rather than just data, UEBA can detect threats that are not easily visible, such as a user who is compromising sensitive information without intending to do so.
